It’s been yet another stellar year for me – I picked up a lot more business in 2012, and my lack of blog posts and tweets can attest to that. I’ll admit that when I’m not actively seeking new clients because my plate is not only full, it “runneth over,” (pardon the mixing of metaphors), my social media efforts definitely start lacking.

In fact, I am late posting my anniversary blog post this year (my anniversary is on November 11), because not only have I been extremely busy professionally, I’ve also had a lot going on personally this year as well. Back in July, I married my sweetheart of 6 years, and then this month we spent 9 days in Belize on our honeymoon.

Since this is time of Thanksgiving in the US, I thought I’d list out a number of things I am thankful for:

  • I am thankful to every single client I’ve had in the past 4 years, both current and past. You have all helped my business grow and prosper, and for that I will be forever grateful.
  • I am thankful to everyone in this industry that I’ve met and communicated with, either in person or through social media. You have shared your expertise and knowledge and helped me refine and improve my analytics skills.
  • Finally, I am thankful that my former manager chose me to be laid off in 2008. Without that “kick in the pants,” I may still be living in the land of cubicles!

Thanks for following my blog, and know that while I may not always post frequently, I always have, and always will strive to write posts that are in my own words, and are my own thoughts and ideas on a topic. I guess that’s another reason why I haven’t blogged recently – I really haven’t had any inspiration on any new, ground breaking ideas and I don’t want to just copy/paste and reword something I’ve read somewhere else.  So stay tuned, when I find my muse again, I will definitely blog about it!
